Today was just... a mess. It started off with me wanting a bugle so I could play Taps, because no fewer than 8 emails were sent out last night in preparation for today's conference call. And I had less than an hour to make sense of it all.
So, the conference call started at 9:15 and went until 11:50. And then continued on again from 1:00 to 4:03 this afternoon. So, out of my 8 hour day at work, I spent almost 6 hours in a conference call. Talking to people on two separate lines in NY, one in Jamaica, and one in London. Good lord.
I'll spare you all the details. But there were two notable events the entire time. At approximately 11:19 this morning, we all laughed. For about 2 tenths of a second. x_X;;
Then from 2:35 to 3:06, we got thoroughly bogged down in whining about who's images looked nicer. For Bob's sake, just pick a new standard and go for it!!
And then at 3:36, I got some nifty information - I'll need to be getting a passport soon. Because I'll get to be part of the group who goes down to Jamaica to observe how they do things there. I sincerely hope that Dan isn't down there at the same time, because if he is the trip will be nothing but work around the clock. I'd like some time to breathe if I'm heading out of the country, y'know? >_<
Now, I just hope this evening proves relaxing. It'd be nice if I could spend some time with
jedijenchan, but by the time I got to her place I'd need to start thinking about heading back home. Dammit, maybe I do need to consider getting a car sometime soon.
