I am certainly not a homebody, and thus could care less about anything Martha Stewart says or does. Maybe that means I just don't understand the fanatical following the woman has. But according to a story in the Red Eye (commuter-targeted newspaper) yesterday, people are going ga-ga over the knit poncho that "The Martha" wore when she was walking from the prison to the armored car or whatever the hell she was driven to the airport in.

Maybe if I understood the fashion point of the poncho in the first place, I could get it... but in my opinion, the thing was just fugly and pointless and all sorts of gimcrack.

I also seriously object to her being called "The Martha". In my mind, that status is reserved for only three people - "The Donald" (Donald Trump), "The Bill" (William Jefferson Clinton), and "The Hill" (Hillary Rodham Clinton). Bill and Hillary only get that status because of one of the gimcracks in my high school english and history classes. The same one who discovered the word gimcrack and popularized its use, actually. ^_^;;;

My mind goes from 0 to Warp 9.9 way too easily, very scarily, and by making connections that should not exist. Today's episode: mixing Prince of Tennis and 3x3 Eyes, based on hearing what sounded like a tennis match in the background of a 3x3 Eyes songs - not even a Takada Band song, at that. But my mind was off and running, and the results were not pretty... I think my brain actually shut down for a couple seconds to recover.
