There's nothing to make you lose respect for a game character quite like an inadvertent MSTing (or one that's not quite so inadvertent, come to think of it). For example, take the following bit from the script of FF4 Advance:

In other news, jedijenchan tried this recipe for herbed chicken with a garlic-type sauce tonight, and it was amazing. So were the carrots, which is the first time I've ever had them with brown sugar. Damn good stuff, that was. My only regret is that I didn't make enough carrots to have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Guess I'll have to make do with just the chicken and the rice.
